Background

Sawgrass Grove Square has quickly become one of the most loved gathering spots in The Villages—a

place where residents and visitors come together to enjoy live music, dining, and community

connection. As the holiday season approaches, many residents have expressed a heartfelt desire to

see a traditional Christmas Tree displayed in the square, much like the festive decorations seen at

other Villages locations.

Our Request

We, the undersigned residents of The Villages, respectfully request the installation of a Community

Christmas Tree at Sawgrass Grove Square each holiday season.

This addition would:

• Enhance the holiday spirit and community pride in one of our most popular gathering areas.

• Provide a central spot for photo opportunities, caroling, and seasonal events.

• Create a consistent and inclusive holiday experience across all Villages squares.

Proposed Details

Location: Central plaza area of Sawgrass Grove Square (in coordination with Recreation

management).

Timing: Display from late November through early January.

Funding: Could be sponsored by community partnerships, local businesses, or resident fundraising if

needed.
