Mr. Ronald Lerch (the man mentioned in this petition and the attached YouTube video) has been treated unfairly again.  I filed for his notice of appeal on December 26, 2023, the notice of appeal was not filed until January 3, 2024.  When I looked up his case online, his case history lists a "letter" dated January 9, 2024, but it doesn't say for what.  Then, on January 16, 2024, it lists an alleged motion that was filed for the court to proceed with my father, Mr. Lerch, being considered self-represented.  His court-appointed attorney said that since he was granted a court-appointed attorney for his trial, he would automatically get one for his appeal and post-conviction relief process.  Well, after going to the courthouse today, to pay for the records for his appeal, I got home and looked Mr. Lerch up on the Court of Appeals website.  I found his name, and for only 2 out of the 3 cases, it said "appeal dismissed" on both cases.  But I filed a notice of appeal for 3 cases.  Then the document provides an "appeal review" deadline.  They never even gave us a chance to write up and file the brief or anything.  They just denied his appeal, without contacting either one of us.  We need your help.  Call Mesa Police Department to demand that they hold these officers accountable, Maricopa County Superior Court to demand that they review Mr. Lerch's case again, due to the officer's perjury and abuse of power, and the Governor of Arizona or whoever you feel should be given the message.  I have provided all important numbers to agencies I feel like some of you may be interested in contacting.
