To date, very little progress has been made in our struggle to restore democracy, transparency, and inclusion in the VI chess community. Nevertheless, we continue to grow and prosper despite an ongoing effort of the USVICF administration to thwart our activity. Most recently, the USVICF administration now forbids us from conducting USCF rated tournaments in the territory. Every chess federation around the world allows USCF rated tournaments to take place within their country/territory, EXCEPT the US Virgin Islands. How embarrassing, how frustrating that Virgin Islands chess players are not extended the same privilege, the same opportunity that citizens of every other country have been graciously granted. 

Thank you all so very much from signing this petition and for supporting our cause. Chess players, young and old, are coming out of the woodwork! More and more adults are showing up to our clubs every week and scholastic programs across the territory include over 100 young people, many very gifted and deserving of opportunities.
