Dear Friends,

Merlinda Bobis, an award-winning writer and poet, and one of the main initiators of the petition, has facilitated organisation of a Community Information Forum on the Constitutional Referendum to enshrine the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Voice in the Australian Constitution.

The Forum will be held on 14 April 2023 (Friday, 5-7 pm) at Woden Seniors Club, Corinna Street, Phillip, in Canberra. The event is free, and everyone is welcome.

The Forum will feature a panel of speakers followed by a Question-and-Answer session.

The speakers include:

Fred Leftwich (formerly of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Commission and the Council of Aboriginal Reconciliation) and David Smith (MP for Bean); Merlinda Bobis, and Subhash Jaireth.
