Dear Belle Meade Residents and Neighbors,
We wanted to give you an update on what is happening at the historic estate of 105 Lynwood Blvd. Despite the lot split being voted down by the majority at the July Belle Meade Municipal Planning Commissioners Meeting, St George’s has hired an attorney and has resubmitted the lot split agenda.
The meeting at Belle Meade City Hall is 10/21 at 4pm.
Please come. Voice your concerns. Call Rusty Moore, Haley Dale, and any or all the commissioners. (contacts on Belle Meade City website) Let’s make our voices heard!
The lot split is critically important and affects this fragile, historical piece of Belle Meade, which serves as a gateway to our city. Further developing this property will set a precedence for estate properties, potentially increase flood risks, remove part of the history of Belle Meade and will disrupt the harmony of our neighborhood.
Attached are images of what the property and surrounding street look like during a heavy rain (picture taken last spring). Now imagine another home built uphill if the lot gets split, taking away precious green space to absorb runoff. Now imagine a parking lot.
We want to thank all of you for signing the petition and forwarding it to friends and neighbors. Hope to see you 10/21 at 4pm. Let’s keep fighting for our neighborhood!
Sincerely,
Concerned Neighbors
