For over 23 years, the highest quality versions of Thomas come from DVDs they have aged very poorly. We are in 2026 now and STILL no sign of higher quality Thomas has been seen outside of the released 1983 pilot from 2025.

It's very important that we have this series in the best quality possible and fixing what came before. The most important part would be fixing the errors from the badly edited 2003 masters. If they were to go the extra mile for a physical release, it would be amazing to have any behind the scenes material, nameboards, music videos, etc. 

Include every English dubs including the lesser know ones like the New Friends for Thomas one, early S3A UK edit, PBS/Nick Jr versions, and a proper Brandon edit with the original Mike and Junior music. It would also be good if the sound got an upgrade to 5.1 surround sound, we currently only have compressed stereo mixes. This would be great for preservation and fans. We could lose a huge part of Thomas history if something doesn't happen sooner. The film reels could get damaged, lost or deteriorate over time.
