Thanks for helping us fight for those who need it most!

This is a fast-moving story of disenfranchisement of thousands of immigrants in Framingham.

Here's the latest Worcester Telegram article published last Sunday.

So many people in the area qualify and desperately need road tests.
Cutting off road test access would not only not help the immigrants it was meant to help—it would hurt an entire community.

Hundreds of  Brazilian, Latino, Asian and African immigrants, mostly women, have already earned their driver’s license at a location near where they live.

Now the RMV closing CMSC's Road Testing sites has left entire immigrant communities in the lurch--the very people for whom WFMA was fought.

The RMV is even canceling immigrant road tests that have been scheduled for months and that may take months to reschedule.

As you know, with a driver's license, a hardworking immigrant can find a better job and legally drive to work, take their kids to school, pick up groceries for their family without fear.  Earning a driver’s license is an essential gateway service for immigrants—the very people the driving law intends to help.

This petition is in support of a public service that allows immigrant families to improve their lives and contribute back to the Commonwealth.

Framingham's Road Test Site closure doesn’t need to happen, and if it does, we will lobby for it be reopened.
