Dear Senators, Representatives, Members of the Administration and MassDOT Officials,
Thank you to those of you who fought hard and long to pass the Work and Family Mobility Act launched July 1st, 2023. Making WFMA a reality has provided a real benefit to thousands who want to work and thrive in America. I am humbly writing to request your help in an important matter related to that program.
Please ask the MassDOT/RMV officials below to keep Framingham Road Test Location open after this Friday, March 1st, or reopen it if necessary.

There are no other nearby RMV testing sites in the area—and the CMSC Framingham Office has already helped thousands of immigrants including Brazilian, Latino, Asian and African applicants, mostly women, who earned their driver’s license at a location near where they live.
Over 90 people test in Framingham every day, but the RMV wants to shut it down on March 2nd. Why? When so many people in the area qualify and desperately need the service. Cutting off road test access for would not only not help the immigrants it was meant to help—it would hurt an entire community.
Earning a driver’s license is an essential gateway service for immigrants—the very people the driving law intends to help. Most of the thousands of immigrants in Framingham (and everywhere else) are hardworking, family people, willing to take jobs no one wants. With a driver's license, they can find a better job, legally drive to work, take their kids to school and pick up groceries for their family without being afraid. Brazilian, Latino, African, Asian, and other minority children deserve to have parents who can legally drive.
It is then inconceivable the RMV wants to majorly disrupt this service to Framingham by terminating CMSC's program in a community where there is such a great need for road testing.
Framingham's Road Test Site closure does not need to happen.
If the RMV hears from leaders like you, we believe they will keep the Framingham Road Test Office open.

Please ask the officials below to keep Framingham CMSC Road Testing open—or reopen it if needed—so immigrant families can continue to improve their lives and contribute back to the Commonwealth.
In support of a public service for those who need it most, we respectfully ask you contact these MassDOT/RMV officials to extend or re-open CMSC’s Road Testing for the people of Framingham.
