Please keep signing, sharing and promoting this petition.  Last week the Township of Uxbridge received an amazing bequest of over $1,100,000 to add to the already over $1,700,000 they already had on hold for a new Shelter build. Now is the time for the Townships to go back to the drawing board and work with the New Animal Shelter for Uxbridge Scugog (NASUS) fundraising Committee and the front line staff who work at the old Shelter and rework the original plan to be more in line with the present economy and the present animal over-population crisis.  Now is the time to include a 1,200 ft low-cost Spay/Neuter Clinic in the plans.  This Clinic would be for the animals in the shelter and for the animals of financially marginalized people in the community.  Low cost, Spay/Neuter Clinics save lives and immediately start to lower intakes in Municipal Shelters which means they immediately start saving money.  They become self-sustaining within a few years. They are a win-win for any community.
