I love my city, Brisbane. It's an established metropolis, flush with life and culture. But it astounds me that despite being such a contemporary city, our public transport system continues to fail us. We are hundreds of thousands of Brisbanites, yet the lack of adequate public transportation is not comparable with our city's growth. Let's stand together to bring about a resolution that caters to Brisbane's growing, dynamic populace.

Currently, congestion remains a major issue along our Western Freeway, stifling commutes, spurting carbon emissions, and wasting precious time. A busway running along the Western Freeway holds the potential to transform our commute and reduce these adverse effects.

According to the Australian Bureau of Statistics, Brisbane's population is projected to rise to approximately 3 million by 2030. With such an increase, investing in a busway presents a sustainable transportation option that can successfully accommodate future growth.

Recent road closures have revealed just how congested the western freeway truly is. With the Olympics coming in 2032 now is the time to make plans improve our public infrastructure!
