The war tension is rising on a global scale while the United Nations is incapacitated. It is time for us to stand up.

Do you remember how World War II started while the League of Nations was dysfunctioning? Unfortunately, the United Nations at this point is becoming more and more like the League of Nations.

History is screaming at us, yet we refuse to listen. Time and again, the world has stood by as aggression went unchecked, and the consequences have been catastrophic. Today, the war in Ukraine is not just a regional tragedy—it’s a warning to us all.

Every day, innocent people in Ukraine lose their lives, their homes, and their futures. And yet, the United Nations, the institution meant to preserve global peace, has become a shadow of its purpose. Its inaction mirrors the failures of the League of Nations, whose impotence allowed the world to slide into the horrors of World War II.

Meanwhile, the threats continue to grow. Russian aggression is escalating, and North Korea’s provocations remind us that instability is spreading. If we do nothing—if we remain silent—history will repeat itself. This path leads not just to more death but to a global catastrophe: World War III.

But we have a choice. History has also shown us the power of people united for peace. If we, as a global community, raise our voices against war, we can create a wave of change too loud to ignore. We can demand an end to the war in Ukraine. We can pressure the international community to act decisively, not just with words but with action.
