1. Last night's PEACEFUL PICKETING of the 76 station could not have gone better: 50 picketers of all ages, hundreds of honks and thumbs-up by rush hour motorists, cyclists and pedestrians, GREAT media coverage (see just one link below), and all but one gas customer choosing to leave the station. 2. We have also alerted the City and Phillips 66 that the station appears to have NUMEROUS VIOLATIONS of City codes, including no business license, un-permitted fences that hid the criminal activity, and violation of its use permit. 3. The owner of the station remains in HIDING and Phillips 66 is NON-RESPONSIVE, except for continuing to say only that they're 'looking into it and working with the owner to regain the trust of the community.' HA! [UPDATE - On Feb. 1 the owner reached out to talk and meet with the organizer of this petition] 4. Watch for our NEXT POSITIVE PICKETING to make sure the entire community knows to boycott this station.
