Recent communication from Transport NSW indicates that they plan to remove 73 trees on Denman Ave, West of Gannons Rd. This is despite realising that all trees could be retained by taking a minimal amount of roadspace and installing safety curbs to separate cars from people using the path.
We have been working closely with advocacy group, BicycleNSW to ask for SCATL routing to be realigned as much as possible with the rail corridor to minimise tree loss, reduce steep grades and crossing of driveways and intersections. TransportNSW is currently reassessing the section between Oak Road in Kirrawee to Jackson Ave in Miranda.
It is vitally important for them to know that residents want them to improve the route. Please add your signature and ask for your friends and family to do the same.
