I wanted to post Love's story in the petition.People need to know her story...

Love is dead. She was an innocent girl who was at the San Antonio Animal Care Services in May 2023 (first pic). A rescue wanted to save her, but an adopter got her instead. One year later, she was found in a junk yard with maggots growing in her wounds. She was brought back to ACS where she took her last breath on Saturday, May 11th. Her entire existence was pain and suffering. We will remember you, Love, because your life mattered to us. I'm so sorry we couldn't save you.
  Per shelter, charges will not be filed because the original adopters said they rehomed her and didn't have any information on the new owner when the shelter contacted them to let them know she had come in as a stray. They were also given the opportunity to reclaim her, but didn't. So... there is no investigation being done by the shelter because she was supposedly rehomed by
the adopters and was brought in as a stray.
  Also, it's been confirmed by ACS that she was in fact "euthanized." I don't know the full extent of her injuries, but I do know there were several people and rescues wanting to help. It was a very sad situation all around because she had a rescue who wanted her a year ago and instead ACS let her be adopted locally. Her life would have been completely different if they had let the rescue take her. And what if she could've pulled through if she had been given more of a fighting chance.
