
It’s been nearly four years since I started this petition and in that time, the status quo on Yardley Wood Rd remains the same. Speeding and anti-social driving, inadequate safe crossing places and rampant red light jumping at the crossroads with Wake Green Rd. It’s a colossal failure that a council that declared a ‘Road Safety Emergency’ last year appears to have forgotten what an emergency means and needs.
So, with the local election coming this Thursday, you might want to find out where the various parties standing in the election pitch themselves on road safety.
