I know it’s very short notice but we only learned late this afternoon that CBC will be interviewing Weiting Bollu, president of Openroom.ca this coming Tuesday, April 9/24 at 7:00 pm when she does her presentation to the Peterborough Landlords Association (PLA).
Weiting will discuss why, and what the circumstances were, that compelled her and her husband to quit their I.T. jobs to dedicate their full-time efforts and resources to expanding their online document database service (and much more), which empowers tenants and housing providers to search Landlord and Tenant Board (LTB) judgements (“Orders’) for free that have been uploaded to the service.
CBC also asked whether the author of the auto-evict petition would be present so I said I’d make the (two-hour) trip from Vaughan to attend in case they had any questions.
We’d like to invite you to attend to show support and solidarity for the petition and the Openroom.ca initiative.
There is no remote viewing (eg Zoom) capability at this event.
It goes without saying (although I’m obviously still saying it), the more people who attend, the better it will appear in any CBC media coverage.
Please let me know if you can make it so that we have an idea of how many people to expect: cseepe@aztechrealty.com
Location:
The PLA meets at the Greek Orthodox Church (lower level at the back) at:
406 Parkhill Road East, Peterborough, K9L 1C1 at 7:00 pm.
I will be there by 6:30 pm.
I hope to see you there.
Chris.
