Here is a suggested template for a Subject Access Request for you to serve on your energy supplier by post or by email.
It is already evidenced that a number of major energy companies have suffered catastrophic data losses within their billing systems that have led to known data corruption and significant overbilling.
A Subject Access Request is one of the devices that fraud investigator David Gale uses to discover corrupted billing data and out-of-certification meters.
Note: the supplier has 30 days to comply. Failure to comply will allow you to make a formal complaint to the Information Commissioner’s Office email: icocasework@ico.org.uk

Please supply the personal data you hold about me, which I am entitled to receive under data protection law, held in relation to my account(s), associated products and services, including any communications, notes, memorandums, reports or otherwise containing personally identifying information.
Specifically, I require billing data and energy consumption data for the past three years, as well as copies of certification for the meters installed at my property.
If you require further clarification, please let me know as soon as possible.
It may be helpful for you to know that data protection law requires you to respond to a request for personal data within one calendar month.
If you do not normally deal with these requests, please pass this letter to your data protection officer or relevant staff member.
If you need advice on dealing with this request, the Information Commissioner’s Office can assist you. Its website is www.ico.org.uk or it can be contacted on 0303 123 1113.
