Tibetan traditions, the faith and culture that are the heart and soul of the Tibetan people are being destroyed.

According to Tibetan tradition, it is believed that high priests such as the Dalai Lama, the supreme leader, and the Panchen Lama are reincarnated and have been selected in a unique Tibetan way.

However, the boy, Gedhun Choekyi Nyima, who was supposed to be the next high priest, the Panchen Lama, was abducted by the Chinese Communist Party at the age of six in 1995, along with his parents, and is still missing to this day.

And according to what I was told by Dr. Arya Tsewang Gyalpo, the representative of the Dalai Lama's Tokyo office, the CCP/China Religious Affairs Bureau claims that "both the Panchen Lama and His Holiness the Dalai Lama, the supreme leader of Tibetan Buddhism, have the right to decide who will be the next high priest.” 

If this is pushed through, it will destroy the hearts and minds of Tibetans, who have always been grounded in their traditional culture and faith," said Arya, who is very concerned. 

If we do not speak out on this issue and allow the international community to do so, it will be an admission that a military victor can destroy the faith and hearts of the occupied people.

Freedom and peace are loved by everyone. 

Therefore, each and every member of the international community needs to speak up and say, "We will never allow any act that leads to the destruction of the Tibetan people's hearts and minds.”

中国共産党にチベット仏教への介入を止めるように求めます

チベットの伝統や、心の拠り所である信仰や文化が破壊されようとしています。

チベットの伝統では、最高指導者ダライ・ラマや、パンチェン・ラマなどの高僧たちは、輪廻転生するとされており、これまでチベット特有の方法によって選定されてきました。

ところが、次の高僧パンチェン・ラマとして決まっていた少年は、６才の時に中国共産党によって両親と共に拉致され、現在も尚、行方不明です。

そしてダライ・ラマ東京事務所のアリヤ代表からお聞きした話によると、中国共産党／中国宗教事業局は、「パンチェンラマも、またチベット仏教・最高指導者のダライ・ラマ法王も、次に誰がなるかは、自分たちに任権がある」と主張しているそうです。

“これがゴリ押しされてしまったら、伝統に基づく文化と信仰をより所として来たチベット人の心が破壊されてしまう”と、アリヤ代表は大変憂いていらっしゃいます。

もしこの問題に対して声を上げず、国際社会が許してしまうなら、それは「軍事的勝者なら、占領した人々の信仰や心を破壊しても良い」と認めてしまうことになるでしょう。

自由と平和は、誰もが愛するものです。だから、「チベット人の心の破壊に繋がる行為は決して認めない」と、国際社会の一人一人が声を上げる必要があります。
