We are in the Home Stretch!!!

If you truly want to help change the minds of the Board of Education, we are down to the wire. We have 140 supporters, but need to double that by the Board meeting on Tuesday night for it to be meaningful. There are lots of ways you can help. First and foremost make sure every adult in your household has signed the petition. 84 students are impacted, so we should have at least 150-200 signatures by now. Secondly reach out to your family members from Washington Township, get them to sign the petition; even is they do not live in Wedgwood, or do not have young children. Even help grandparents log on to the petition if necessary. Lastly, get out and speak to your neighbors (I know it is cold, but if we want to stop this plan this is what we need to do!) Tell them this will affect the property values of all home owners in Wedgwood, even if they do not have children in the schools currently. I will be making flyers you can hand out at you Bus Stop tomorrow, as well as to give to neighbors. I will also be creating a canvas sheet if you want to go out and speak to your neighbors on your street, and get their email addresses for us to send the petition link to, and I also am trying to find the correct format for a petition form that you can get your neighbors to sign. I know none of this is fun, but if we truly want to help our children it is what we need to do. This is politics, so logic and rational thought has not worked, so we need to show the intensity of the opposition to this plan. Let the board see how many votes this will cost them, make it personal.
