Quit Clicking Kids (QCK)Vereinigte Staaten
23.03.2025

Hello signers and activists!

Thank you for your dedication to make the world safer for the next generation. Thanks to your support, three states (California, Illinois, and Minnesota) have signed bills into law that protect child influencers.

Now on to the next phase: Please join us as we push forth to create federal protections for child influencers.

What does this look like?

Federal legislation to protect child influencers will safeguard their earnings (similar to Coogan laws which apply to traditional child actors) and protect children's privacy by affording them the right to delete content that featured them as a minor from a social media platform.

Who is affected?

This legislation only affects accounts that heavily feature minors (30% of content within the past 30 days features a minor) and are significantly monetized (generating at least $0.10/view)— it's focus is not any account that ever posts a picture of a kid.

Why is it important?

Kids need a childhood. They deserve to grow up with some semblance of privacy in this increasingly digital age, and they deserve to be compensated for the significant revenue which they help their parents to generate through a family channel.
