For too long DC and big pancake lobbyists have deprived our waffle loving city of America’s favorite diner.

In the wake of a divisive political landscape, we must rise to meet to the challenges ahead of us. We must rally around a symbol to bring us back together as a city and a nation. 

Waffle House is the symbol of hope DC has been longing for. From college kids to elders, Waffle House is for anyone and everyone - a safe space.

Our days of begrudgingly settling for second rate food and service from IHOP have to end NOW. 

Waffle House truly embodies everything that’s great about this country, diversity, quality, transparency, and above all, waffles. 

I would also settle for a Publix.
