Tell DC Comics to declare Queen Watevra Wa'Nabi as an official, canon spouse of Batman.
The Issue
"The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part" introduced a concept that is very rare, yet beautiful; A Batman marriage. The relationship between the misunderstood Queen Watevra Wa'Nabi of the Systar System and The Dark Knight is complex, compelling and overall intriguing. It is perhaps one of the single most appealing, if not unusual, relationships that any incarnation of the Batman character has ever been in. That is why I feel that DC Comics themselves, a company owned by Warner Brothers, should at least make a statement regarding the matrimony as canon, not only to preserve and certify the union, but to also leave open the possibility of exploring the relationship between the conceptual entity and caped crusader in the future. Whether it is in comic or film form is entirely up to DC Comics themselves. However, I feel like a statement of canon would spark their interest and get the creative sparks flying for a story that has infinite potential and has just began to be told.
I understand that many might see this as a trivial gesture, However, I truly believe that sometimes the most seemingly trivial things in this world are the things that can inspire us the most and bring greater change to this world than anyone ever felt possible. If a toy can inspire an entire universe, why can't this?
