She couldn’t believe what Strepfinger had done to him. It was like he’d become a wild animal, so far off from being the brash, brave, funny, but selfless guy we all know and love.

That SHE loved.

There’s no other word to describe her face and emotion in this comic other than PAIN. She looks him in those black eyes, hoping to find a sign of him in there. She’s met with snarls and growls.

Until she touches his face, causing the creature to stop, its eyes widening as its body relaxed. That touch was familiar.

In this moment, Leah, despite her despair, lovingly scolds him for his recklessness and getting in trouble for doing the right thing but expresses that that was why she fell for him. And that she still loves him, after everything they’ve been through.

After all this time, she STILL loves that goofy idiot.

She couldn’t believe that this was the cell that she loved. Trapped in that body.

She demands for him to come back to his senses, her voice choked with emotion. He always came back from every situation he got into, no matter how tough or dangerous it was.

She pleas to him that she wants him back.

She couldn’t lose him again.
