My newest fan art of an encounter of the Osmosis kind!
Hector’s protectors, upon witnessing a few bullies harassing Riley and Angie after the Metabolica concert, stepped in to help. Particularly Ozzy. He saw that the green one was the same girl who’d helped him and Drix sneak into the concert! And he overhears them call her a germ, a jab at her appearance. They even pushed her to the ground when she coolly retorts back before she tries to walk away, infuriating Angie and starting a scuffle with other attendees.
Angry at their cruelty, he and his pill partner intervened. Handling them with their usual unorthodox but humorous moves to subdue them! Despite the heroic act though, Gluteus shows up to take the credit. Again.
Annoyed and dejected, Ozzy stuffs his hands in his pockets as he and Drix start to head for their car, grumbling quietly.
However, he stops in his tracks and turns his head as he hears the voice of that kid he’d rescued calling to them. He turns fully around now to face her, looking down at her face as she was now but a small distance away from the two.
He looks at her, struck dumb as she kindly thanks him, genuinely appreciative of their deed.
For once, the usually big-mouthed cell was completely speechless.
Ozzy, in his whole career of his being an officer back in Frank AND in his current time as a private eye in Hector, never got so much as a genuine thank you for his actions. He and Drix were usually the ones who got PUNISHED for getting into others’ business, with snot detail or threatening to be arrested or flushed down the bladder.
This was VERY new.
Drix humbly chuckles and says it was nothing at all, but she assures they really helped out, as her aunt would have been worried sick if she got in trouble. Angie facepalms at her openness. Ozzy asks if her aunt knows they’re out so late, and Riley sheepishly smiles and says no. She’s too honest, the poor kid! Can’t lie now. Especially to the police.
Jones smirks in amusement at the rebellious act. Riley then compliments Drix on his arm gun, amazed and flattering the pill. Drix then asks Ozzy if they should ask Maria to give them a police escort from the concert, as the brawl would probably be put on the news. Angie, annoyed, tries to usher Riley away from them so they could leave, calmly insisting they can get home just fine on their own. Ozzy sassily says maybe, but informs her of their age and the fact that germs scarier than her roamed Hector at night. The red cell scowls, but Riley interjects quickly, and unlike her capable but sometimes stubborn bestie, she walks a little bit closer to the sidewalk, agreeing that this was a better idea. Plus it would put her aunt at ease if she came home quicker. Reluctantly, Angie agrees too. Ozzy then calls over Officer Amino for their safe ride home. Riley wagered Aunt Ann would ground her until Hector turned 18, but Ozzy assures her that a little rebellion is good sometimes, plus she seemed like a very well mannered teen, compared to SOMEBODY he knew. (*COUGHS* Spryman.) This makes her laugh, to his delight!
Before leaving with Angie in the car, Riley introduces herself properly to the private eye, thanking him one more time politely.
He smiles genuinely, then does the same for her with his usual cool and cocky demeanor.
And thus, a friendship starts to bud from these two cells!
Thank you all, for your continued support on my project. Everyone’s been so kind and it is so touching that you all have such faith in it, and me. It means a lot. I won’t let you down. And I’ll keep at it!
Stay safe, wash your hands, and wear your masks to help Ozzy and Drix stop COVID! They can’t do ALL the work, y’all! ;)
