Summary:
Meet Riley’s aunt, the spunky and upbeat Ann Atomy! She may be a fat cell, but this girl works like a boss to take of her only niece and raise her right! She eats motivation like carbs, and often worries and frets over Riley’s safety, despite her niece’s adventurous, independent and more free-spirited nature, and her insistence that she can take care of herself. She’s also a great cook, and sells her homegrown gut flora as a part-time florist! When Riley’s favorite band Metabolica is in town, her best friend Angie sneaks her out without her aunt knowing. A girl’s gotta have her freedom, after all! They’d planned to sneak back once it was over. What Aunt Ann doesn’t know won’t hurt her, right? However, after a run-in with some harassers from the concert, and a brief hand from Ozzy and Drix, the two were escorted home by Maria via police car. Riley was grounded a few days for it, despite Ann’s relief. Dang! Later on, upon meeting the cop and pill who so kindly helped her niece get home safe, she welcomes them into her house full of paintings, cheesy sculptures, and good home cooking. And soon enough, into their family!
