Did some new art, City of Hector: It’s Thrax and Riley! AND got a return/slight redemption arc for the baddest illness anyone’s ever seen! >:]
In the revival’s proposal, the virus’ remains had been discovered in the beaker of alcohol by a curious doctor/nurse at the hospital where Ozzy saved Frank. Upon further inspection, he discovers this rare new illness and decides to, while reviving him in the process, turn him into a vaccine to fight off more of his kind. He also adds his findings and studies of it to the medical books, just as Thrax had aimed to do in the film. And guess who was the first patient to get their Red Death shot?
You guessed it. Hector Cruz.
Alive, furious, and bitter beyond belief that he can’t infect the boy’s body, (He still HAS his fire powers, but when he touches/scratches along a surface with his claw while it’s lit, it just flames/burns for a second or so…Then heals itself right back up again!! Body immunity and the weakening of his powers. He can’t melt cells anymore either. His claw now only leaves burns and wounds, baby. Since he’s in a younger, stronger body. But he can make the floor hot for escapes and still cut folks. >;) ) he is now a vaccine agent against his will.
He takes this job for 3 reasons: To still prove to other cells/germs/viruses why he shouldn’t be messed with, because he can’t kill the body or steal from the hypothalamus (He can’t cut into it like before! Poor Thraxy! >;D ) and to show up Ozzy and Drix when they goof up.
However, because of that, and with a bit of time, and maaaybe a curious/kind hearted sensory cell…He might adjust to this new life. Eventually.
And maybe show a SLIGHT softer side of himself…?
Let’s keep the hype going until WB sees us, folks! We’re about 20 signatures away! HOLY SPIT!!
