In just four days, millions of people all over the world will be joining forces to celebrate World Cleanup Day (September 15th).  World Cleanup Day is a massive social action, with teams in every country, in every major city, in every community.  

At CleanApp, we've been working hard behind the scenes for more than a year to make World Cleanup Day a success.  We don't do it for the fame or glory. We do it because it's the right thing to do. 

In four days, we will break the world record for the largest volunteer effort. How can we be so confident? Because September 15th also happens to be International Coastal Cleanup Day (oceanconservancy.org) & California Coastal Cleanup Day (coastal.ca.gov) & a day of many other local cleanups devoted to specific causes and specific charities. 

Because we're all united in the fight against litter, let's also make September 15, 2018 our World CleanApp Day!  On this day, let's celebrate the tech that makes it possible to map the world's waste, and the people who use it. 

More importantly, let's celebrate by demanding and deploying much better waste mapping technology than anything we have at present!
