This is a sad update, coming on the heels of yet another senseless act of violence. A man in his 60s was riding a bicycle earlier today with a woman companion. The place is irrelevant, it could be Hanoi, Stockholm, or Mexico City. Something apparently caught the man's eye. He turned back to investigate, finding what appears to have been a hand grenade. Within moments, the grenade exploded, killing the man. The point here is not to second guess the deceased man's judgment or to ask what he should have done instead, whether he should have just reported this to "the authorities" and/or waited guard while "the authorities" arrived, making sure that no other passersby or children took the grenade into their hands. Rather, the point is to ask why tech giants like Google fail to see the immediate utility of a hazard/trash reporting service of the sort we've described. If everyone had tools for easily reporting what appears to have been a hand grenade on a city street, don't you think more people would do that? We know the answer to this question is "yes" - the easier we make trash/hazard reporting, the more people will do it. Thank you for your support. #CleanTech didn't save this man's life, but we're doing everything we can to make sure CleanApp functionality is in the hands of as many people globally as quickly as possible. Every CleanApp report of something that looks like a bomb, a grenade, or a landmine is a potential warning to the child in each of us. We may be tempted to explore a bit closer, but damn it, 31 people have tagged this thing an actual grenade in their CleanApp reports, and placed "do not touch" tags associated with it. As curious as we are, we know its smarter to pass on by. But not before adding our own 32nd CleanApp report for that object. It may seem inconsequential, but what if it's the report that actually gets the police to come out and investigate. Thank you for your support.
