Stop penalizing residents for turning off Parkside during restricted hours
Stop penalizing residents for turning off Parkside during restricted hours
The Issue
We, who are residents of Victoria Drive, Princes Way and surrounding roads etc., whilst welcoming the reduction in rat-running through our area during the morning rush hours, also have to be able to access our homes by car during all times of the day without being penalised for so doing.
The current proposals to restrict any access to our area from 700am - 10am without a major diversion through Wimbledon village - an added distance of some 3 miles - causing ever greater pollution and traffic jams are not acceptable to us.
We request that Wandsworth BC use APNR to ensure that residents are no longer penalised for accessing their homes during restricted hours or if that were not feasible then allow residents of the area a complete defence to any penalty notices issued to them.
