Walmart, Please Do Not Trap and Destroy Managed Feral Cat Colonies!

Walmart, Please Do Not Trap and Destroy Managed Feral Cat Colonies!
The Issue
A spayed, neutered and rabies vacinated feral cat colony has been living in the Boerne, TX Walmart shopping center for over 3 years. The cats are fed and managed by a citizens group working to end the overpopulation and suffering of homeless animals. The caretakers have learned that Walmart is in discussion with a cruel trap and remove agency to eliminate the cat colony. Please ask Walmart to be part of the solution and not the problem.
NOTE: Trap and euthanize or removal does not work as it creates a "vacuum effect" and once the cats are gone, new cats will just take over the site. Managed colonies are colonies that are cared for by one or more care-takers who feed the cats and take care of any medical problems. Cats who are in controlled Trap-Neuter-Returned colonies are the solution to overpopulation, not extermination.
Walmart Please Do Not Trap, Remove or Destroy Managed Feral Cat Colonies!
Trap and euthanize or removal does not work as it creates a vacuum effect and once the cats are gone, new cats just take over. This turn-over will never end.

Walmart, Please Do Not Trap and Destroy Managed Feral Cat Colonies!
Trap and Euthanize or removal does not work as it creates a vacuum effect and once the cats are gone, new cats will just take over the site. This turn over will never stop - it has been proven time and again.
Managed colonies are colonies that are cared for by one or more care-takers who feed the cats and take care of any medical problems. They are usually not a nuisance to others, and they have all been Trap-Neutered-and-Returned to live out their lives.
Trapping and destroying and/or removal of these cats is a complete waste of time and tax payer dollars, Dollars that could fund a TNR program - a positive and proven-effective solution.
