Las noticias actuales sobre las protestas a favor de Palestina y la flotilla están repletas de desinformación, y yo, al igual que muchos ciudadanos conscientes, estoy cansado de ver cómo se manipula la verdad. Es frustrante observar cómo la sociedad, en muchos casos desinformada y poco crítica, absorbe sin cuestionar mensajes que no tienen fundamento.

Las recientes manifestaciones por Palestina y en apoyo a la flotilla han sido tergiversadas al punto de transformar la narrativa en un simple espectáculo mediático. La flotilla, lejos de ser un acto humanitario, incluía a terroristas Etarras condenados y miembros de Hamas, y todo era impulsado por políticos y figuras influyentes en busca de seguidores y apoyo político. Estos 'activistas' no buscan otra cosa que beneficiar sus agendas personales, sin preocuparse del verdadero bienestar de los involucrados.

Además, es fundamental recordar que Palestina, en repetidas ocasiones, ha rechazado acuerdos de paz con Israel. En al menos cuatro ocasiones, se ha negado a reconocer a Israel como un país legítimo. Tras los eventos del 7 de octubre, es lógico que Israel quiera defenderse ante lo que consideran un acto de guerra.

Si solo tienes un palo y le pegas a alguien con pistola la culpa de lo que te pase es única y exclusivamente tuya, en una guerra no existe la proporcionalidad 

No podemos permitir que la desinformación y las manipulaciones sigan dividiendo nuestra sociedad y alimentando el odio. Es momento de educarnos realmente sobre la situación en Oriente Medio, escuchando voces de todos los lados del conflicto e investigando más allá de la retórica fácil que muchos prefieren.

Current news about the pro-Palestine protests and the flotilla are filled with misinformation, and like many aware citizens, I am tired of seeing the truth being manipulated. It is frustrating to witness how society, often uninformed and uncritical, absorbs baseless messages without questioning them.

The recent demonstrations for Palestine and in support of the flotilla have been distorted to the point of turning the narrative into a mere media spectacle. The flotilla, far from being a humanitarian act, included convicted ETA terrorists and members of Hamas, and was driven by politicians and influential figures seeking followers and political support. These “activists” aim only to advance their personal agendas, without any real concern for the well-being of those involved.

Moreover, it is crucial to remember that Palestine has repeatedly rejected peace agreements with Israel. On at least four occasions, it has refused to recognize Israel as a legitimate country. After the events of October 7, it is only logical that Israel would want to defend itself against what it considers an act of war.

If all you have is a stick and you hit someone holding a gun, whatever happens to you is entirely your own fault — there is no such thing as proportionality in war.

We cannot allow misinformation and manipulation to continue dividing our society and fueling hatred. It is time to truly educate ourselves about the situation in the Middle East, listening to voices from all sides of the conflict and researching beyond the easy rhetoric that so many prefer.
