The Lightning Bots are a FIRST Lego League team from Illinois, USA and we want to get more students involved in the FIRST programs.

We are working with the LEGO Education partners in India and the Office of Minister of Finance & Corporate Affairs, New Delhi, India to help waive the 60% import tax for the Spike Prime kits and FLL kits, so students can afford the program.

The high importation tax on Spike Prime and LEGO education kits is a significant barrier to the expansion of the First Lego League (FLL) in India. By waiving this import tax, we can make these valuable learning resources more affordable, thereby promoting equal opportunities in STEM education for all Indian students. We urge the Indian government to consider this proposal seriously as it directly impacts our future generation's skills development and career prospects in an increasingly digital world economy.
