24 Hours Left Folks: We should have made it but we're not there yet. We've tried to make the case that singling out the martial arts school in legislation for punitive taxation while leaving other fine-arts and educational schools alone denigrates the cultures we represent. It also denigrates the profession of teacher and devalues the unparalleled contributions to children and adults we strive to make. The thousands of emails, phone calls, petition signatures, shared posts and hundreds of visits to Olympia was an exceptional grassroots effort and you should be proud. Our bill, HB2334, to restore the dignity of the martial artist and stop the damage to our businesses before it's too late was passed 96-0 in the House. We believe the livelihood of many of the smallest, small business owners and access for families who use our services to help their children gain confidence, discipline, respect and focus is at stake. This legislative session is over tonight but a 'special session' does seem likely so we may be alive a few more days. Hopefully it doesn't come to that. Our fate is in the hands of Senate leadership and there is only one thing left that you can do: You may have friends who also support our efforts so SHARE this post one more time.
