Preserve VTA routes in Los Gatos, Saratoga and South San Jose

The Issue

VTA has proposed to scrap the 83/17 ”Next Network” plan and move to a 90/10 plan that would likely eliminate coverage in all or parts of Los Gatos, Saratoga, and South San Jose/Almaden. Since 31% of VTA riders transfer from a VTA vehicle at least once during their trip (according to a 2013 VTA survey) the elimination of connecting routes would most likely result in lower ridership from this group. Please maintain transit coverage in these areas. People in Santa Clara County rely on this service to get to work, school, medical appointments, and other locations throughout the county.
