I am done with y'all. As someone with a delicate sense of guilt, shame, and empathy, navigating the internet can often induce a sinking feeling. The slightest amusement from watching a humorous fall can trigger waves of guilt within me. This complicated emotion becomes even more pronounced when the semblance of cringe permeates through online interactions. 

The internet, a vast realm that connects us all, should be a sanctuary—a place where we don't have to brace ourselves for the discomfort of encountering awkward, embarrassing, or humiliating content. The overwhelming presence of cringe on the internet leaves distraught netizens grappling with feelings of severe shame and overwhelming empathy breakdowns after a night of doom-scrolling.

It’s crucial to address the prevalence of cringe-worthy content that makes internet browsing uncomfortable for those of us with heightened emotional sensitivity. Real life already provides enough cringe-worthy experiences, have some mercy for us.

Let’s embark on this initiative to make the internet a safer and comfortable place for everyone, even us, easily shamed and guilted unable to self-regulate netizens. Vote to stop cringe online so we can all browse a little more peacefully.
