Animals are hit everyday, left injured or killed. In many families, a pet is a part of the family. They should be protected from hit and runs just like any human. If a pet is in the road, drivers should be legally obligated to take preventive measures to avoid hitting them. If they do, they should have to leave information or stop and tell the family.
