Euthanization of 2 dogs who attacked 2 people and 2 dogs, killing one dog
The Issue
The village of palatine has reached a preliminary plea deal with the owners of the two viscous dogs who have attacked someone previously but most recently attacked a girl and her dog, killing him, and another victim and his dog while trying to save the girl. They have determined that they will drop some ordinance violations and not euthanize the two dangerous dogs, so long as they are not within Palatine. The dogs have been kenneled this last month as the owner already violated instruction to not have the dogs in Palatine when concerned palatine citizens knew this and photographed the dogs being walked together by a single person, the owner. The village and it’s animal warden believes moving the problem will solve the concerns. I frequently visit palatine with my dog and reside in another village and I’m not sure about you, but I don’t want those dogs moved to my neighborhood being walked together by a single person on the same sidewalk as me, my dog, or the children playing outside in my neighborhood. The owner has demonstrated no responsibility and change as demonstrated by walking two powerful dangerous animals together at one time again violating instructions to keep the public safe. It is only a matter of time until this happens again, as it has already occurred twice. Totaling 3 people being attacked. The Vet stated that Casper’s injuries were consistent with an intent to kill. The negligence is loud and clear. The dog already had attacked previously and it ended with these devastating consequences. What or who is the village of palatine protecting? Because it is not it’s residents or surrounding residents in the state. I’m scared that they’re moving the problem to my backyard.
