The Village approved a project in 2020 that violates more than 4 Village ordinances and causes harm to neighboring properties.  There was no formal plan or oversight during this project, despite its’ size and scope, and the repeated concerns that neighbors expressed to the Village. This project is in stark contrast to the semi-rural  environment that earned the Village of Bayside the “Tree City USA” designation from the National  Arbor Day Foundation.

If the Board of Trustees are unwilling to enforce public ordinances to protect private property and preserve the character and property value of our neighborhoods, they cannot be trusted to manage the development of our  Village in the best interest of the  residents.

The Village of Bayside Architectural Committee is appointed by the Village Board of Trustees with the purpose of  “ensuring that all structures within the Village meet minimum standards of architectural quality, consistency, aesthetic design and finish.” Their goal is to perpetuate the Village’s character and atmosphere, preserve existing property values, and enhance the desirability of the Village as a residential committee.  There are currently no architects or engineers by trade that serve on this committee.
