It is with a heavy and sad heart that yesterday Endo Warrior Aubrion Rogers passed away due to complications from emergency endometriosis surgery. Aubrion was only 30 years old.
What angers and frustrates the Endo community is her pain was repeatedly ignored by doctors. For months doctors sent her home leaving her untreated from endometriosis, fibroids and pain.
Yesterday Aubrion went into emergency once again due to severe pain. Rogers husband shared that she was in emergency because of severe pain, an untreated large 10cm endometrioma cyst that caused her right ovary to burst. Aubrion had emergency surgery where they removed her appendix, ovary, fallopian tube, endo and fibroids. Sadly, she lost her life in recovery post surgery.
She was admitted to ICU fighting for life all the way to the end.
This is an example of medical malpractice Endo Warriors face continually. Aubrion sought help and was constantly turned away. This was a preventable death. Endometriosis can be FATAL, if left untreated. Dr’s repeatedly turn endo warriors away and do NOT take pain seriously. May people see this and know Aubrion did not die with out purpose. As a community we need to join together and share her story.
#aubrionrogers #endoisessential
Endometriosis surgery is essential, it’s a necessity. People with endometriosis pain need to be taken seriously. No one should die from endometriosis. Elective procedures when it comes to Endo are life quality saving procedures. These procedures allow individuals to go from just existing to living. The PAUSE on Endo surgeries continues to cause back logs in prolonged suffering and essential treatment. We cannot allow another death. Our thoughts are with your family #aubrionrogers. Through this devastating and heartbreaking time. Aubrion deserved better. May we let this be the last the death.
