We've had our first win! Thanks to your support here, across social media, and by directly contacting VUW, they've announced today that the deadline for feedback on the name change proposal has been extended until 5pm 27 August. The University Council will then consider feedback with a decision expected to happen at their meeting on 24 September.

While there have been disappointing comments made by the Vice Chancellor about the petition, it's clear our concerns are being heard at the university. This highlights how important it is to keep spreading the word about the petition through your networks and sending in your feedback to both the university at feedback@vuw.ac.nz and to the Education Minister at c.hipkins@ministers.govt.nz.
