Went to Halifax to see another law firm regarding what happened to my late husband lack of proper health care at the Dartmouth General Hospital-I.C.U in 2024. As I was on my way down Barrington Street to my car around 2pm, unexpectly; I saw Nova Scotia Premier Tim Houston getting out of a black van on his way to his office at "One Government Place". I called out his name and he stopped to look at me and say hi. I questioned him why he has been avoiding my request to sit down 1 on 1 with the Minister of Health to listen to what happened to my husband in the hospital where I.C.U. staff over-dosed him on Propofol and Morphine and refused to send him home. Now, that they killed him; I have nothing. I gave him a copy of the on-line petition photo of my late husband-Thomas and told Premier Houston that I had sent him many emails and update to his facebook page and the petition was sent to him beginning of this week. I told him that my late husband was 25 yrs Retired Canadian Navy Veteran and 32 yrs with Commissionaires Nova Scotia. After 29 yrs with my husband, now that the hospital carelessly killed him, I have nothing in life to look forward to. The hospital never offered palliative care at home for my husband. He was literally left speechless and then looked at me as he put one hand on the front door and said, "I will look into it, leave it with me." I pointed my finger at him looking him directly in the face and say, "I am holding you up to that." It was so bitter sweet that I truly think and know that my late husband set the timing of my journey yesterday to happen as it did. I got my say to the Premier FACE-TO-FACE and made sure that he didn't forget my words and my face. There were some people across the street watching while waiting to catch the Metro Transit. Now, we shall see what Premier Tim Houston will do and if he keeps his word to look into it. If he goes back on his word, his reputation will begin to fall apart. On election night, he promised to be there for our veterans and support them in every way.
