Petition updateSupport a shared parenting bill in the 2014 legislative session

Help us raise funds for a statewide ad campaign regading joint custody

The state legislature has once again decided to defer any action on the three proposed shared parenting bills that were introduced this year. This means that they won't be acted on until at least 2014, if at all. It is time to send our legislators a message that our current custody laws fail to protect the best interests of children in cases where there are two capable and loving parents and that we want a commitment from them to take up the legislation in 2014. Please donate and help us fund a statewide newspaper advertising campaign to encourage Vermont voters to put pressure on the legislature to act on the shared parenting bills that have been proposed. Half page ads in all major papers will cost approximately $4,000 and all money raised will go directly to publicizing this issue. Donations can be made securely via major credit card or PayPal at the link below. http://www.youcaring.com/other/Donate-and-help-change-Vermont-s-outdated-child-custody-laws/46480
