As the victim continues with therapy, we received the news that he does not qualify for the Illinois Crime Victims Assistance program because the Verizon Vendor had been operating the business in violation of Verizon’s policy and Illinois law. Which we knew, but needed the decision to come from the state. All previuos bills and mounting bills will now be forwarded for payment, but in all reality, if you chose not to purchase your work comp insurance, why would you pay your bills incurred from failing to have it? Back to the reason for this petiton, we want Verizon to answer why they allowed this Vendor to operate in violation of the law when their website clearly states to be a vendor they MUST have work comp and general liability insurance?
