https://www.georgechristensen.com.au/pardon-julian-assange/#sign-the-letter
Mr President Donald Trump
The White House
1600 Pennsylvania Avenue NW
Washington, DC 20500
USA
https://www.whitehouse.gov/contact/
„Please restore justice and pardon Julian Assange
Dear Mr. President
I do not want to take up too much of your time and will be brief. Also because I am sure that you know as well as I do who Julian Assange is, what he has done and that he is sitting innocently in a prison in London for almost two years.
You know as well as I do that he was punished for his work as a journalist and for publishing important documents on Wikileaks. I'm sure you remember that you once said "I love Wikileaks", and why you did this.
I am also convinced that you know best that the claim that Julian Assange is the agent of a "hostile foreign state" or the Russian government is nonsense.
What Julian Assange has endured for ten years is inhumane and completely contrary to the American principle of freedom.
I therefore implore you to let your heart speak and to pardon Julian Assange so that he can finally live again as a free man with his wife and two small children.
With hope and gratitude for your humanity"
Der Brief eines Stuttgarter Aktivisten lautet folgendermaßen:
“Dear Mr President of the United States,
Dear Mr Trump,
We believe you to be an upright, proper and honest politician, for all matters to be decided. We are a small group of citizens and activists, impartial and ideologically independent, here in Stuttgart, in Baden-Württemberg, in Germany, and we have been campaigning for journalist Julian Assange to be freed for years.
We are fighting tirelessly for the journalist and whistle-blower Julian Assange to be released immediately, and not imprisoned and kept in prisons in London/UK..
He has, in the respected tradition of American journalism obtained and published information that is classified and newsworthy, a practice shared with the Washington Post, New York Times, Wall Street Journal et al. The accuracy of materials published by Wikileaks has ever been in dispute. Assertions by the American Intelligence Services that Julian Assange is the agent of a ‘Hostile Foreign State” or „the Russian government“ is politically suspect and completely unproven and denied by Assange.
Assange is in fact a humanitarian journalist providing an invaluable platform for whistleblowers exposing corruption and criminality infesting governments, nullifying democracy and obliterating human rights, around the world.
We urge you, Mr. President, to rescue Julian Assange. We should all be thankful that Mr Julian Assange brought the crimes of all these past wars to our attention, and made us aware of things that we may never have known about without him…!
We ask for your dedicated help in this matter, and look forward to your message and answer.
Until then, with our best wishes“

„Mr President, please pardon Julian Assange, journalist and innocent prisoner!“
