The people of Venezuela are facing one of the greatest humanitarian catastrophes in our nation's history.

Years of political and economic crisis left millions of Venezuelans vulnerable long before the recent earthquake. Now, families are searching for loved ones, hospitals are overwhelmed, homes have been destroyed, and countless people are struggling to survive without reliable access to food, clean water, medicine, shelter, or electricity.

This tragedy demands an urgent international response.

We, the undersigned, call upon the United States, democratic governments around the world, international organizations, and humanitarian agencies to stand with the Venezuelan people during this critical moment.

Our Call to Action
We respectfully urge the international community to:

1. Ensure Immediate Humanitarian Access

Work with international humanitarian organizations to ensure life-saving assistance reaches civilians quickly, transparently, and without unnecessary obstruction.

2. Protect Children and Vulnerable Families

Following major disasters, children are at increased risk of exploitation, trafficking, family separation, and abuse. We urge governments and humanitarian organizations to prioritize child protection, family reunification, safe shelters, medical care, and independent monitoring of credible reports affecting children and other vulnerable people.

3. Defend Human Rights

Support independent monitoring and investigation of credible allegations of human rights abuses, corruption, diversion of humanitarian aid, or violence against civilians, consistent with international law.

4. Increase International Humanitarian Leadership

Expand international cooperation to provide rescue operations, emergency medical assistance, food, water, temporary shelter, and long-term recovery support for the Venezuelan people.

5. Support a Peaceful Democratic Transition

Stand with the Venezuelan people in their aspiration for democracy, constitutional governance, free and fair elections, the rule of law, freedom of expression, and respect for fundamental human rights. Encourage peaceful, lawful efforts that allow Venezuelans to determine their own future.
