The food crisis in Venezuela can not be ignored by the rest of the world. Ruperta, the elephant at the Caricuao Zoo in Venezuela, is an innocent victim of this crisis. This proposal asks for help to save this fellow citizen of the planet and to call attention to the problem of hunger in Venezuela that hurts both human beings and animals like Ruperta. This proposal is not meant to be political, but humanitarian in its intent.  Let us help Ruperta the elephant and all of Venezuela to overcome the hunger crisis. Let us show our solidarity, our compassion, and goodwill. If we call ourselves good people, then we must do something.

El problema del hambre en Venezuela es algo que no podemos ignorar. Ruperta, la elefanta en el zoológico de Caricuao en Venezuela, es una víctima más de esta crisis. Esta propuesta pide ayuda para salvar a este ser vivo y busca también llamar la atención a la crisis alimenticia que sufre Venezuela. Esta propuesta no tiene un fin político. Esta propuesta sí tiene un objetivo humanitario. Ayudemos a Ruperta y a toda Venezuela a superar el hambre. Mostremos nuestra solidaridad, compasión y buena voluntad. Si de verdad somos buenas personas, tenemos que hacer algo.
