With the support and collaboration of the Palestinian Animal League, we launched the VEGANS FOR BDS campaign. This involves developing a list of vegan companies and organisations that adhere to the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) Movement. The list will be a reference point for those who stand in opposition to vegan-washing and in solidarity with Palestine.

Veganism is routinely being co-opted as a tool to make Israel appear more compassionate, more 'western', more humane in relation to Palestine. This narrative is muting the voices of inspirational Palestinian animal rights activists. The international animal rights movement must draw attention to and overcome this by amplifying Palestinian voices, and the work they do for animals.

Vegan-washing: Israeli appropriation of veganism as a tool to improve its image internationally, by distracting attention away from the occupation and ongoing atrocities committed against Palestinian lives.

As international animal rights activists, let's speak out against Israeli vegan-washing. Because #OccupationIsNotVegan.
