The abusers are  consistent about one thing, their inconsistency about the wellbeing of the child. 

My daughter and grandson are in danger of having a protection order lifted or modified. The statistics and research are available. Abusers are not likely to change. We can only minimize the harm and damages of those whom they’ve fixated or chosen to project abuse and violence. It’s about power and control over the vulnerable. The courts have not caught up to the harmful effects of living with or being indirectly or directly involved with domestic violence abusers. The courts are showing more leniency to abusers than their victims and children. We should be concentrating resources on protecting survivors/ victims or potential victims over giving abusers more opportunities to further abusive behaviors. Women and children have lost their lives because they aren’t believed when they’ve reported dangers from abusers. If victims live through violence and abuse they have endured, then why is it an option to allow abusers to petition courts to drop protection orders because it’s more challenging to continue creative ways to further abuse. They’ve justly lost some opportunities in authoritative careers. Why is the value of women and children lives and safety viewed as less than a job or career?
