It was a great week.  

A motion by Green Party city councilor Pete Fry that calls for a reduction of speed limits on all residential streets without a centre line to 30 km/h, and which could be implemented by introducing a new municipal bylaw, passed unanimously

Pete Fry's motion also directs City staff  to report back on recommendations for such a speed limit and explore the possibility of creating more physical barriers and traffic calming measures, such as barriers, bollards, chicanes, roundabouts, and speed bumps.

We need to keep spreading the word and sharing this petition. City staff need to hear our call for safe infrastructure. Please share our petition to anyone who loves someone who rides a bike.
