On June 20, 2016, the Vancouver School Board listed our local community school on their preliminary list of 12 schools they may close. This proposed closure is in an effort to comply with the Provincial Government’s unrealistic and educationally unfounded mandate of pushing all schools to 95% capacity. A. R. Lord is a diverse school with a culture of acceptance that allows our children to thrive. A. R. Lord unites this East Vancouver community.
